About the Tigra Foundation
The Tigra Foundation's mission is to raise and gift funds for the benefit of homeless,
injured, abused and orphaned cats and dogs. We do so by receiving donations from companies
and kind-hearted individuals.
Since we are a registered Canadian charity, donors receive a charitable tax receipt
for the value of their donations.
We donate the money we raise to carefully selected and vetted Canadian registered
charities that operate genuine no-kill animal sanctuaries. We understand how hard
you work for the money and things you donate to us, which is why we work so hard
to ensure that nearly every penny goes to saving helpless cats and dogs. The
Tigra Foundation is operated exclusively by volunteers and we do not have a single
paid employee. Animal charities that receive funds gifted by the Tigra Foundation are carefully reviewed to ensure our gifted funds are spent exclusively on the primary care of animals.
On every main page of this website are two different rotating quotes. Each quote
is from a person who has achieved the heights of success. They are spoken by civil
rights leaders, philosophers, scientists, Nobel laureates, artists and entertainers
– many of whom are inspirational luminaries of human history. Each quote reflects
the belief that our treatment of animals directly impacts upon our treatment of
each other as human beings. If we cannot show kindness to the weakest and those
without a voice, how can we show kindness to one another? The generosity of our
human spirit is best demonstrated when it is bestowed upon those who have little or nothing at all,
be they people or other beings. The Tigra Foundation believes we should all
take an active role in inspiring everyone to make this world a better place for all.

the efforts of its volunteers. Tina is passionate about ensuring that charitable donations are used to benefit those actually in need.
